Kimono fitting service

If you have a kimono and you need help with dressing into one, or just curious on how to wear it, youfound the right place.

  • Traditional style:

    • Get dressed in a kimono of your choice, ranging from casual to formal (including Furisode & Hakama), arranged with traditional technique

  • Western dress style

    • Wear a kimono styled as a Western dress. The draping technique preserves the garment, allowing it to be worn traditionally again.

Courses

For those who wish to go deeper, our courses provide a comprehensive, multi-session education in traditional Japanese methods.

  • Kimono Dressing Course: Master the art of dressing in a kimono, from the layers to the intricate techniques of tying a beautiful obi knot.

The course consists of 6 x 90 min sessions and covers the following:

  • The basics: overview of the steps to wear a kimono

  • Wear a kimono and an han-haba obi

  • Further practice on kimono and a second type of obi knotting

  • Introducing Nagoya-obi

  • Dressing with Nagoya-obi and overview

  • The students choose to either practice one more time or learn another way to tie an obi

Courses are available in-person, online or hybrid format.
